For anyone who lived in Springfield during the late 60's, through the early 70's, Denzil & Jonathan was an act that was well known in the area. Not only did they perform in the intercollegiate coffee house circuit for Southwest Missouri State, they performed many Southwest Missouri State functions. If they weren't entertaining for a college event or at on of the local coffee houses, you could always catch them playing every Wednesday evening at the old Shakeys Pizza parlor - a hot spot in Springfield.

If you like the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin, The Eagles, John Denver, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, James Taylor, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Peter Paul & Mary, as well as many other bands from the late 60's and early 70's, then a performance from Denzil & Jonathan is a must hear. You may even find yourself singing along.
